Colin
M. Black focuses his practice primarily in business litigation, including
commercial contracts, unfair trade practices, employment and insurance
matters. Colin also represents clients in land use and real estate
development matters. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal
courts of Massachusetts.
Colin
joined the firm's litigation practice group in 2007 after spending two
years as the Director of Advocacy Programs at Boston University School of
Law. Prior to his directorship at Boston University, Colin was a member of
the Boston litigation departments of Sullivan & Worcester, LLP and
Donovan Hatem, LLP. Prior to joining Sullivan & Worcester LLP, Colin
served as a law clerk to the Honorable James F. McHugh, III of the
Massachusetts Appeals Court.
Colin
received a B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst in 1993. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk
University Law School in 2001, where he served as Vice President of the
Moot Court Honor Board. Prior to entering law school, Colin served as an
Intelligence Analyst with the United States Air Force.
