David
H. Drohan was a founding partner of the firm in 1974.
A 1965 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, he earned
his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1968 and an
LL.M from the National Law Center at George Washington
University in 1970.
Attorney Drohan began his law career in Washington D.C. as a Neighborhood
Legal Services Attorney for VISTA (Volunteers in Service to
America.) He than served for five years as an Assistant
Corporation Counsel with the City of Boston Law Department.
Today
David's concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial
transactions and estate planning. He represents several
institutional lenders documenting commercial loan transactions and
has a significant real estate conveyancing practice. David
counsels start-up businesses and represents numerous corporations
with a multi state presence. He also counsels his clients in
business succession and estate planning.
David
is involved in numerous professional, community and civic
activities. He is the
former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the South Shore
Hospital Health and Educational Foundation and remains a
contributing member of the Board.
David is a director of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.
He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the
Massachusetts Conveyancing Association, and the Norfolk and
Plymouth County Estate Planning Council. David is a past Commodore
of Hingham Yacht Club, a member of the Hingham Rotary Club and a
member of the Cohasset Golf Club.
